How The Perch became Southern California’s favorite small retreat venue.
Tucked away among the trees, you’ll find The Perch at Twin Peaks, a boutique retreat center with roots deep in the historic San Bernadino Mountains. Originally built in the 1930’s as a collection of vacation cabins, The Perch has always been a place to gather and connect.
Today, we’ve been reimagined as a retreat center opening our doors to groups, companies, and families looking to celebrate, reconnect, and recharge. Over the years, we’ve hosted authors working on their books, fiddle players learning new songs, shuffle dancers dancing into the night and companies planning their goals for the year.
We love each group for the individual magic they infuse into the property while they are onsite and we know that The Perch provides magic to them as well - you can feel it the minute you arrive.
No two retreats are the same and The Perch’s barn, cabins, outdoor spaces, and deck allow for retreat leaders to perfectly plan and execute their own unique programming.
When deciding if The Perch is right for you, there are a few questions to consider:
How many attendees do you plan to host?
The Perch can host 45 people in accommodations on the property but most retreats find that sweet spot of 25 people - that means that every attendee has their own bed and most have individual rooms (though there are shared rooms available which make perfect budget options for your retreat). There are close by Airbnbs and additional accommodations that can expand the size of your retreat.
How would you like to handle food for your retreat?
Each group that comes to The Perch handles food a bit differently. Some groups will opt to cook their meals on their own while others take the route of private chefs and catering. There are plenty of options on the mountain that accommodate different budget price points. The Perch’s Retreat Director can help you hone in on what option would be most efficient for your proposed retreat!
What season are you hoping to host your retreat?
The mountain is beautiful every season and each season offers a unique set of potential activities and vibes for your retreat. Our most popular months are May and September (so if you are eyeing dates in those months, be sure to be in touch early!). We’ve had groups enjoy hiking, exploring nearby skiing, adventure to the lakes, and shopping in the small towns surrounding The Perch. Many groups even offer their attendees a ‘suggested spots’ guide so those that arrive early can explore cute areas with an insider perspective!
Do you want to have any local practitioners come and teach at your retreat?
Yes, your group is coming on your retreat to interact with you but there is always space in your agenda to enhance the experience. Maybe you want to bring in a sound bath healer or have a yoga teacher come teach a class? There are plenty of options on the mountains that range from forest bathing & guided hikes to mobile massages that will come onsite to your cabin!
