Writer’s retreats.
(A great place for all artists)

At The Perch a group of writers can share with others and have their own creative space as well.

A two-night, weekend retreat at The Perch includes a full buyout of our cabins, the grounds and the barn, plus cabin cleaning and basic facility support. Retreat packages start at $11,500. The basic price for a two night retreat during the week (Mon to Thurs) is $6950 plus $1500 for each additional weeknight.

Artists need moments away from the demands and stresses of everyday life to be productive and inspired.

Writers all over southern California love The Perch because of the serenity of its surroundings.  It’s so easy to unplug at The Perch, allowing you to focus on your writing and creating.  That’s why so many writing groups come to The Perch to work, learn, and share.

Every cabin has a designated workspace and places for quiet solitude. But one can also enjoy workshops or working together in the barn. Roam our property or find a bench that appeals to you and let the inspiration flow.

We have some great food options for you: our marvelous private chef can customize the meals for your entire retreat, or you can mix and match with local caterers, food trucks, mobil BBQ, etc.

Our Intro Package is a no-stress option, where guests book their cabins directly through us. We can help you curate the agenda, and provide a marketing page to help with the booking process. This option is $5000 for 2 weekend nights/4500 for 2 weeknights. Additional week nights are 1500 each.

Special packages for smaller groups are available.

Like most of us, I spend my days screeching from task to task. One of the artistic rhythms I've found to be essential is regular retreats—a day or two away to turn down the noise in my mind and settle into my body. Getting away helps me pay close attention to the world. And that's the best recipe for writing that I know.

Here's what I noticed within the first few hours of my arrival: the clean scent of sap and drying pine needles. Sun-warmed wood on the soles of my feet. A violet twilight settled over the trees.
