Unplug & Just Play is a weekend for families to uplug, slow down, and connect with each other. Join us for creative activities and outdoor fun in a beautiful natural setting. Unplug your computer, put down your phone, and ‘come perch with us’.

What to bring:
Hiking shoes or sneakers

Where you’ll stay:
The Perch has 12 cozy and stylish cabins.
Cabin 1 - 4 bedrooms (Q,F, 3 T) Sleeps up to 7
Cabin 2 - 2 bedrooms (K, bunk beds) Sleeps up to 4
Cabin 5 - 2 bedrooms (Q, F) Sleeps up to 4 (two in a bed)
Cabin 6 - 2 bedrooms (Q, T) Sleeps up to 3
Cabin 9 - 1 bedroom (Q, T in living room) Sleeps up to 3
Cabin 12 - 2 bedrooms (Q, F) Sleeps up to 4 (two in a bed)
Cabin 13 - 3 bedrooms (K, F, 4T and pullout Queen in living room (sleeps up to 10)
Cabin 7 and 8 - Large Studios with King bed
Cabins 3, 4, 9 and 10 are Cozy cabins with Queen bed
Prices
Cost for the weekend: Cabins 1 and 13 are $630 + $120 per adult/ $60 per child
All other cabins are $520 for the weekend + $120 per person/$60 per child.
Children under 4 come for free.
Optional activities on Sunday and optional Sunday night just $100 more. Ask for details!

Friday: Settle In, Unwind and Unplug
3:00 PM – Arrival & Check-In
Welcome to your cozy cabin. Stow the devices, pick up breakfast for tomorrow. Explore the property and meet your neighbors.
6:00 PM – Taco Night at the Barn
Let’s kick things off with a festive taco dinner from La Casita. Easy, delicious, and family-friendly.
7:30 PM – Weekend Welcome Circle
Gather in the barn to preview the weekend’s adventures and share what you’re eager to do and learn about this weekend. Led by Fiona, early childhood educator.
8:30 PM – Fire Pit & S’mores
End the night with gooey marshmallows and good conversation under the stars.
Saturday: Play, Create, Connect
Morning Family Breakfast - On your own
Start your morning at your own speed, with breakfast in your cabin or visit one of our local restaurants.
7:45 AM - Optional Family Yoga at The Barn
$30 per family (min of 6 enrollees for the full class)
10:00 AM – Forest Bathing with Nel
Meet at Heaps Peak for a guided immersion in the forest, created especially for your family’s connection with nature and each other.
12:30 PM – Pizza at Lou Eddie’s
Craft your perfect pie with a wide variety of toppings at this beloved mountain pizzeria. (This lunch is not included in the weekend price)
2:00 PM – Free Time or Outdoor Games at The Perch
Explore Lake Arrowhead, take a short hike, or stay at The Perch and relax, read, explore, or join in outdoor games like giant Jenga, corn hole, etc.
4:00 PM – Family Paint Party
Come to the barn to create some art with your family. Led by Fiona.
6:00 PM – Backyard Summer BBQ
A deliciously relaxed summer spread, with kid-approved favorites and fresh seasonal dishes. Top it off with a DIY Ice Cream Bar. Created for you by The Lettered Shell Supper Club.
7:00 PM – Twilight Scavenger Hunt & Games
Work as a team to solve clues and explore the grounds. Laughter guaranteed.
9:00 PM – S’mores and Outdoor Movie Night
Grab a blanket and wind down with some popcorn and a movie under the stars (weather permitting).
Sunday: A gentle return
8:00 AM - Optional Family Yoga in the Barn
$30 per family (min of 6 enrollees for the class)
8:45 AM – Hearty Farewell Breakfast
French toast sticks, biscuits with jam bar, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and fresh fruit.
10:30 AM – Start closing down and check out of your cabin, but don’t leave the mountain yet!
Those who want to stay another night can take advantage of a host of optional activities such as:
Hike to nearby Strawberry Peak (for stunning views), or to the San Moritz at Lake Gregory for the Duck Derby Family Picnic (free), a ride on the Lake Arrowhead Queen or visit Sky Park for bike trails for all ages, ziplining, and more. The Perch will offer more fun games and activities.
